My Name is Earl (Cops Episode)

*****

I love this series but the Cops episode from last night was pure genius. Absolute laugh out loud brilliant. I just wish Jason Lee tried to escape on a skateboard.

Top Gear (Summer 2008)

What a rip-roaring start to the new series. Wow! Utterly non-PC, tons of fun. lots of fabulous cars, silliness and did I mention cars? Something for young and old to enjoy apart from the Sunday Night Project dicks. The boys are back in town and this...

Blades of Glory

*****

The most stupid film I've seen in two months and I wouldn't change a second of it. Not perfection like Kingpin but belly-laugh brilliant and worth watching just to see Will Ferrell in a leotard. The acting is all hammed and the ice-skating is...

Torchwood (Fragments)

Not sure what to make of this one. Distinct signs of budget running out completely but great twist at end. Team (except Gwen) investigate alien activity in deserted building. It blows up. History of each joining Torchwood then shown. The premise was a...

House Season 4 Premier

*****

Still wonderful TV. As good if not better than any previous season. The same old plot-line but fantastic comedy and the twist of no team to help him yet.

In The Name Of The Fada (RTE)

Coming from a guy who fundamentally isn't very funny, this is a lovely piece of TV which will bring a smile to the face of anyone who has been through the Irish education system.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

*****

What's to say really? Identical to the second one with impenetrable plot, lots of hamming and some great action sequences. Light-hearted fun.
